Montel Show and THE RAPIST'S WIFE
January 1, 1970
Hi All,
Just a FYI: I'll be appearing on The Montel Show this coming Friday, September 29, 2006. The program will feature my first book, THE RAPIST'S WIFE, and Linda, the woman in my book, and Ashley, her daughter, will be on the stage. I'll be one of those hopefully sage experts in the audience.
This is especially important because Montel will give the audience instructions on how to protest the parole of James Edward Bergstrom, the serial rapist in my book, THE RAPIST'S WIFE. Bergstrom is a dangerous sexual predator. He was given four 99-year sentences in 1992 by the jurors at his trial, and here we are, just 15 years later, and he'll be eligible for parole. It's a true disservice and a very dangerous situation.
Let's face it: Bergstrom is only 43, and he remains a dangerous man. Over a two-year period, he attacked 30 women in the Houston area, raping at least 5 of them. He threatened them with a knife and a gun and raped one woman while her daughter hid under the kitchen table. He threatened to murder his final victim, a 17-year-old high school cheerleader. If he gets out, he'll do it again.
So, if you get the chance, watch the show, but one way or another, check out the home page on my website and follow the instructions at the bottom of the page to learn how to protest Bergstrom's release. It's easy, nothing more than an e-mail to write, and it's the right thing to do.
As always,
Best,
KC
